Our process:
Super 8 and 8mm film formats were widely used to capture memories from the 1930s through the 1980s. We specialize in converting them to a digital format that you can view on nearly any device.
Using the latest patented professional transfer equipment, we’re able to convert 8mm and Super 8 film with impeccable HD quality, resulting in a very high resolution image, free of hotspots and halos, evenly lit and focused. You can choose between DVD, Blu-Ray DVD, or a flash drive as your final delivery format. The choice is yours. Also at no additional charge, we keep a copy of your film transfer for 6 months in case you need more DVD copies.
Why our method is better than “frame by frame Capture”.
In a frame by frame transfer, each frame of the film is imaged separately, then assembled in computer editing software to create a moving video. The problem is that 8mm film is intended to be played on a projector with internal, spinning blades. These blades move in front of the film each time a frame goes by (this happens far faster than we can see) and have the effect of fooling our brains into thinking we are seeing smooth, continuous action. Without these blades, the motion of 8mm film seems choppy and jittery, which is exactly the result you get with a frame by frame transfer. This effect is particularly noticeable when there is any horizontal motion in a scene. With our 8mm film transfer service, the motion in the film is much smoother and more natural because we utilize the spinning blades with which the film was meant to be used.

Advance color & tone correction:
Depending on how your film reels have been stored, the colors can fade over time. We can bring them back to life with the use of our advanced software. If you choose our PREMIUM OPTION we go through each reel scene by scene and manually correct and enhance the color and tone to help restore your movies to their original condition.
